Without a Care, 2009, Acrylic on wood panel, pages from a physics textbook, 48” x 30”
I gathered the torn pages of a physics textbook as they were left strewn on a sidewalk. The pages illustrate the basic principles governing the physical world. Discovering these principles made possible our altering the world through science and technology. A human egg floats above this landscape of rejected erudition, while the biological principles that could protect this egg are rarely considered.
